A Little More about who is leading this FLOCK:

Hi, I’m Micaela Wallen and I am a Bay Area event planner based in Sonoma County with 20 years of experience of event production of corporate events, nonprofit events and fundraisers & weddings.

I started my events career in Boston planning internal corporate events, jumped over to Development Events where I planned nonprofit fundraisers for a large hospital in Boston, and eventually moved to Northern California. My experience as a San Francisco Corporate Event Planner was just the start to more than 15 years planning events all over the Bay Area and beyond. When I planned Wine Country Events, I fell in love with the area and finally moved up here to Sonoma County.

WHY FLOCK gatherings?

These roles, along with a bit of cosmic guidance and patiently waiting for the time to be right, all led me to pull the trigger and ultimately create my dream business, FLOCK Gatherings, where we plan all sorts of events, mostly corporate events, nonprofit events, and weddings. In my past when I was planning corporate events, I missed nonprofit events and when I was planning nonprofit events, I couldn’t stop thinking about getting back into weddings….. so I created a business that captured all types of gatherings that can each be unique and true to what the hosts really wants and not a copy and paste model.

WHY should you WORK WITH ME?

Beyond my experience planning a wide array of events from galas to corporate retreats, I also love a challenge and I love to get creative at figuring out to achieve your event goals. I am positive, upbeat, and always professional, plus I can stay strangely calm in stressful situations. I continue to receive positive feedback on my work and I put a lot of effort to make sure that all my clients feel that way after every event.

Outside of work:

When I’m not working or mothering my two wild boys, you can usually find me not sitting down, trying to sneak a quick workout in, finding an excuse to go get a coffee or local beer downtown, or trying to make my family hang outside in nature with me.
